Eden on St. Thomas’s LGBTQ philosophy states that women ought to act like women. What does that mean?
The Bible Tells Us the Woman’s Role
…in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. (Genesis 3:16)
For the husband is the head of the wife, …let the wives be subject to their own husbands in every thing. (Ephesians 5:23-24)
I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. (1 Timothy 5:14)
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. (Titus 2:5)
“That isn’t for today,” is a common response to those scriptures.. I’m pretty sure that most of the women on our island are unmarried. Almost all the unmarried women are fornicators. The women who are married don’t often let their husbands be “king of the castle.” The women on our island use birth control to ensure that they don’t bear many children. They pride themselves on their careers. They consider the woman’s role in the Bible oppressive and backwards.
But, we know that God doesn’t change, and He knows what’s best for us.
When our ideas are contrary to God’s, we need to change our minds. When our actions are contrary to what God wants, we need to change our actions. We need to embrace the woman’s role.
It is our duty (and our pleasure) to be mothers and keepers of our homes. It is our duty to be submissive to our husbands and keep ourselves chaste.
Eden on St. Thomas’s philosophy is:
Each individual ought to conform to their sex role. Men ought to act like men. Women ought to act like women, and everybody ought to be chaste.

How Does that Philosophy Play Out in the Eden Organization?
As mentioned in another page, we will talk about when the girls are wives and mothers. When not if. We will tell stories with traditional families.
Monthly mothers’ meetings are designed to develop a counter-cultural community. Some of the topics of the mother’s meetings will include chastity and the woman’s role,
We encourage you, mothers, to be housewives and homeschool, even if that means you wont need our children’s school.
Mothers who are adulterers, fornicators, or celebrate and affirm their children being in the LGBTQ, will not be allowed in our program.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6
